Protecting the articulation during muscle reinforcement exercises
Muscle reinforcement is prescribed in the final phases of rehabilitation, when there is atrophy and a weakening of the extensor muscle
in the traumatized limb.
At the moment machines for active gymnastics (leg extension and leg curl), create tensions during exercise which are offloaded onto the ligaments and the weaker structures of the articulation system and are particularly harmful.
To protect the knee from these tensions, the limb must be fixed to the machine which, in its turn must create a natural movement, that described
in the knee equation.
This is possible using the KTJ© articulated joint
on the machine to strengthen the lower limb.
