Protecting and
accompanying the joint

walking about again
Gradually being able to walk about again is helped by the KTJ© articulated joint which not only allows movement to be blocked at an exact angle
(0° - 15° - 30° - 45°),
but also the possibility to grade an arc of movement in order not to “force” the joint depending on the stage of rehabilitation or the seriousness
of the trauma.
This is also particularly useful in some chronic pathologies of the knee.

taking up sport again
When taking up sport again, and especially running, it is important to accompany and support the unstable knee particularly during the off-the-ground phase.
Running is a fundamental exercise when returning to motor activity. During this phase the joint is not controlled by the proprioceptive phase and it reaches its maximum bending. The articular heads, if they are not “guided” on a physiological trajectory, can be forced onto travels which create serious conflicts with evident degenerative friction phenomena.

When taking up sport again, in the final stage of post traumatic rehabilitation, the KTJ© articulated joint recreates the natural movement of the knee, described in the knee equation , ensuring maximum respect for its physiological condition.

Scientific studies presented at the XVI International Congress of Sport Traumatology Rehabilitation, Milan 14-15 April 2007, demonstrated greater comfort (+25,9%) for KTJ© knee pads compared to those which use a double centred articulated joint.
